Amazon has been investing in its own delivery infrastructure, including building its own fleet of cargo planes and developing its own delivery service, Amazon Logistics. Additionally, the company has been expanding its Prime delivery service and experimenting with new delivery options such as drone and robotic deliveries. If Amazon continues to invest in and expand these efforts, it could potentially compete with FedEx and UPS in the shipping market.

There are a few ways Amazon could potentially challenge shipping companies like FedEx and UPS:
Invest in delivery infrastructure: As mentioned earlier, Amazon has been investing in its own delivery infrastructure, including building its own fleet of cargo planes and developing its own delivery service, Amazon Logistics. By investing in its own delivery capabilities, Amazon could reduce its reliance on third-party shipping companies and offer more competitive shipping rates.
Expand Prime delivery service: Amazon has been expanding its Prime delivery service, which offers free two-day shipping on eligible items to Prime members. By expanding this service to more areas and offering it to more customers, Amazon could potentially attract more customers away from FedEx and UPS.
Experiment with new delivery methods: Amazon has been experimenting with new delivery methods, such as drones and robots. If these methods prove to be efficient and cost-effective, Amazon could use them to deliver packages in areas that are currently difficult or expensive to reach using traditional delivery methods.
Leverage technology: Amazon has been investing in and developing a range of technologies such as AI, Machine learning, IoT, Robotics etc which can help to optimize delivery routes and predict demand which could help to offer more competitive pricing and delivery times compared to traditional shipping companies.
International Expansion: Amazon already has a strong presence in the US market, and it continues to expand globally, and it could leverage its global reach to offer international shipping services that could compete with FedEx and UPS.
It's worth mentioning that Amazon has already started to challenge these companies in the market and it is likely that the company will continue to do so in the future.
